Introduction

It is our great pleasure to host 2013 Daegu international Marathon followed by 2012. We are dedicating ourselves to preparation for the event in order to make the event not only the simple marathon race but also the meaningful international event that everybody could enjoy. We hope this event will be the milestone to become one step closer toward spreading of marathon and the promotion of health in people. On behalf of 2.6 million Daegu citizens, we welcome all of you and I hope you will have great time in Daegu!

 Type : 42.195km Marathon(Elite, Masters), 10km(Masters), Fun running(Masters)

 Organizers : Daegu Metropolitan city, Korea Association of Athletics Federations(KAAF)

 Managing Organizations :Daegu Sports Council, Daegu Athletes Federation (DAF).

Elite Full Course (42.195km)

 Qualification : Only the foreign Athletes invited by Daegu International Marathon Authorities and the Korean Athletes registered to KAAF are eligible for registration.

 Entry Division : Men, Women

 Rules : The race will follow the rules of KAAF in 2012

 Special Drinks : For the special drinks and/or refreshments, the athlete’s name, BIB number and specific station (km) should be clearly written upon the containers. Elite Athletes should submit them to the area for the headquarters during 07:00 ~ 07:30 A.M. on April 14, 2013.

Masters Full Course (42.195km)

 Qualification: Healthy men and women aged over 18 on the race day (April, 14, 2013)

 Entry fee : \ 40,000 (or $40)

 Gathering spot : Daegu city Hall Parking Lot at 7:00AM [Start : 8:05AM]

 Time limit : 5 hours

Masters 10km Course

 Qualification: Healthy men and women

 Entry fee : \ 30,000 (or $30)

 Gathering spot : Daegu City Hall Parking lot at 7:00AM [Start : 8:10AM]

 Time limit : 90 minutes

Masters Fun running Course

 Qualification: Healthy men and women

 Entry fee : \ 15,000 (or $15)

 Gathering spot : Daegu City Hall Parking lot at 7:00AM [ Start : 8:20AM)

Application Period and Process

 a. Marathon participants can apply from December 10, 2012 to March 8, 2013 through internet homepage.

 b. Registration can be closed if the number of participants reaches 3,000(full course), 10,000(10km) and 3,000(Fun running)

Instruction

 * Drinks and refreshments will be served to every marathon participants

 * Souvenir, brochure will be given to every participant and certificate with medal will be given for those
   who complete the race

 * Uniform will be mailed on April 1, 2013 (subject to change)
